Clinical Team
Nancy Barber, LICSW
Nancy is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Vermont and New York, bringing a depth of training and experience that spans community mental health, private practice, and public schools. She earned her Master of Social Work from Marywood University and her Master of Science in Education from SUNY Cortland, giving her a uniquely integrated clinical and educational lens.
Nancy has spent her career walking alongside children, adolescents, families, and adults through some of life's most challenging moments. She is particularly passionate about working with young people in both school and clinical settings — supporting their emotional, social, and academic growth in ways that are meaningful and lasting. Nancy believes deeply that families and caregivers are essential partners in the process, and she makes that collaboration central to her work.
Her approach is warm, strength-based, and tailored to each person she works with. Drawing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Play Therapy, Nancy meets clients where they are and helps them discover the resilience and inner resources they already carry.
