Clinical Team
Kate O’Sullivan
Training: Currently enrolled in Clinical Counseling Psychology (M.A.) at Saint Michael’s College
Kate is in her final year of her master's program and is completing her internship hours with MindWell. In addition to her practicum experience with individuals experiencing psychosis, Kate has been a Resident Director at Saint Michael’s College since 2022 providing support and guidance to college students as they navigate emerging adulthood. Being a listening ear and resource for those experiencing a huge transition in life while balancing their many roles and responsibilities has informed Kate’s approach to her therapeutic work. She prioritizes creating a genuine, warm relationship with her clients and aims to promote each individual’s self-efficacy and autonomy while helping them to identify and strengthen their social support network.
The core of Kate’s therapeutic orientation is a person-centered approach that seeks to integrate skills from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and motivational interviewing to assist clients in identifying their personal goals and abilities.
When enjoying time out of the office and the classroom, Kate spends time with her family, friends, and Beasley (her curly-haired dog)! Kate also loves to write poetry and short stories, read for fun, meditate, and practice (very) beginner yoga.
