Deanne Maxwell (she/her/hers) is a mental health counselor with nearly 20 years of experience providing academic advising and career counseling to college students at Cornell University as a student services professional. Deanne uses an integrated approach to counseling which includes Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solutions Focused Therapy. Her clinical areas of interest include the experiences of undergraduate and graduate students managing stress, anxiety and/or depression as well as working with adults navigating life transitions in health, relationships, and work. Deanne brings to each counseling session an openness which invites a collaborative therapeutic relationship with her clients grounded in deep listening, compassion, and empowering clients to reach their goals.
