Dr. Alex Sheppard is a clinical psychologist and post-doctoral fellow at MindWell Psychology’s Albany, NY location. He specializes in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skills. Dr. Sheppard works with adults across the lifespan presenting with a wide range of concerns, including co-occurring medical and mental health conditions, anxiety disorders, depression, chronic illness and disability, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, neurodivergence, sleep disorders, and trauma-related disorders.
Dr. Sheppard takes an individualized, strength-based approach to therapy that integrates insight, problem-solving, behavioral skill development, relaxation, and mindfulness. His work emphasizes collaboration and evidence-based practice to help clients achieve meaningful, sustainable change.
