Madison Smith, Psy.D.

Training: Pacific University (PsyD Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Child & Adolescent Clinical Psychology); University of Vermont Medical Center (Internship and Fellowship)

Dr. Madison Smith (she/her) is a clinical psychologist who specializes in working with children, adolescents, and families. She has experience supporting youth and families in addressing concerns related to depression, anxiety, trauma, family conflict, and behavioral challenges. In addition, Dr. Smith has extensive training and experience working with LGBTQIA+ youth and their caregivers. She has also worked within a multidisciplinary eating disorder clinic. Dr. Smith takes a collaborative and humanistic approach to therapy, meaning she prioritizes the therapeutic relationship and values the client’s expertise in their own lives. She applies evidence-based methods adapted to the needs of the individual and the needs of the individual’s support system. She often integrates approaches from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), parent management training, and attachment theory depending upon the individual’s goals and needs. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, spending time with her dogs and cat, and being outdoors.
