Julie Camuso, PhD

Training: University of Vermont (PhD Clinical Psychology), VA Maine Healthcare System (Internship)

Dr. Julia Camuso is a postdoctoral fellow at MindWell Psychology in Burlington, Vermont. She enjoys working with patients of all ages and has experience providing couples therapy in addition to individual treatment. Her clinical orientation is rooted in cognitive behavioral therapy and pulls heavily from acceptance and commitment therapy and motivational interviewing. She specializes in treating anxiety and mood disorders, PTSD, and issues related to women’s reproductive health (i.e., peripartum mood and anxiety disorders, distress related to infertility). Dr. Camuso utilizes a client-centered approach emphasizing the patient’s goals in treatment. She has specialty training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness.

In her free time, she enjoys skiing, hiking, running, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.
