Training: Columbia University (Master’s of Social Work)

Emily is a licensed social worker who enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults.  She is passionate about mental health and uses a variety of evidence-based interventions to help maximize the well-being of her patients.

Emily has extensive training in trauma-informed care having worked for many years with foster children and families touched by adoption.  She has worked in a school-based setting providing one-to-one counseling, group counseling, educational advocacy and support, and crisis intervention to children with a range of mental health diagnoses.

Emily often works as part of a collaborative care team and believes that mental health is an integral part of overall health.  While working at Tia (a primarily virtual women’s health care start-up) Emily worked closely with primary care doctors, psychiatrists, and acupuncturists to help young women navigate their journey into adulthood.

Emily goes out of her way to connect with clients whether working virtually or in person.  In addition to her work, Emily loves to spend time with her two children, fostering cats and dogs, and baking on a daily basis!
