April Fiacco, PsyD

Dr. April Fiacco is a licensed clinical psychologist who has expertise working with children, adolescents, and families. She has worked in a variety of settings over the course of her training, including community mental health, inpatient care, and therapeutic schools. Dr. Fiacco specializes in behavioral disorders, trauma, depression, and autism spectrum.

Dr. Fiacco uses a client-centered approach that is collaborative and individualizes treatment based on her clients’ needs. She utilizes evidence-based practices, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and motivational interviewing, to help clients develop skills to increase satisfaction in their lives. Dr. Fiacco encourages parents/guardians to participate in treatment, providing skills that can be used at home to increase consistency and improve the effectiveness of treatment outside of the therapy room.

Dr. Fiacco’s prior research focused on the impact of social media on adolescents’ lives. When she is not working, Dr. Fiacco enjoys spending time with family and exploring the outdoors through hiking, kayaking, and skiing.
