Dr. Jeannette Correa is the Director of Clinical Training for MindWell. She has expertise in providing evidence-based treatment for individuals and couples.  She specializes in treating anxiety, mood disorders, relationship issues, and PTSD. Notably, Dr. Correa has experience conducting couples therapy when one or both individuals have experienced trauma or are diagnosed with PTSD.  Dr. Correa’s goal in therapy is to help patients become their own therapists and she works collaboratively to build effective coping strategies that better manage symptoms and stressors. She takes a direct and present-focused approach to patient priorities in treatment.   She has specialty training in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD.   

Dr. Correa’s research has focused on emotion regulation skills training and providing effective short-term therapy for anxiety disorders.  When not working, she enjoys spending time with family and playing with her rescue dog.
